CHILLIWACK — A spokesperson for the Upper Fraser Valley RCMP says a man who was reported missing after a fishing trip north of Agassiz in November has been located deceased.

According to a statement Tuesday morning (Dec. 3) from Debbie Sargent, an RCMP communications staff member, 44-year-old Bradly Werbowski has been sadly located deceased.

The cause of death is not considered suspicious, police said.

“The RCMP offers its condolences to the family and friends of the deceased,” Sargent said.

A GoFundMe fundraiser update on November 27 said Werbowski’s body was located by two fishermen.

“On Sunday, the family was informed that Bradly had been found by two fishermen. This was not the outcome that we had wanted. We send prayers to Mika, the kids and the entire Werbowski family as they navigate this difficult time,” the GoFundMe stated.
The GoFundMe had raised over $41,000 from 253 donors as of Tuesday morning, Dec. 3.

Werbowski was reported missing on Sunday, November 10. Werbowski had gone fishing with a friend on the Chehalis River near Morris Valley Road. He was reported missing to Agassiz RCMP on Sunday at 6 p.m. when he did not return to his vehicle.

Search and rescue crews were engaged, however, all efforts to locate Werbowski were unsuccessful, according to Agassiz RCMP Sgt. Andy Lot said. As a result, authorities appealed to the public to advance the investigation.
