NEW WESTMINSTER – B.C.’s transit authority says it will be operating a “special midnight train” between Mission and Vancouver ahead of Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” show next Saturday at B.C. Place.

Translink says the Dec. 7 route will see the train depart Mission City Station at 4 p.m. with the return trip leaving Waterfront Station at 12:15 a.m.

The extra service comes amid Translink’s travel advice for concertgoers, which suggests using their online trip planner and purchasing a day pass should attendees decide to come into the city for the day.

The walk from Waterfront Station to B.C. Place is about a one-kilometer stroll that takes roughly 20 minutes via West Cordova, Cambie, and Robson Streets.

Vancouver police say areas around BC Place Stadium will be strictly limited to ticket holders for the three “Eras Tour” shows.

City officials estimate close to 160,000 fans have tickets for the shows on Dec. 6, 7, and 8, and up to 40 per cent are international travelers.
