More than three decades later, Dunahee disappearance still a mystery
VICTORIA — Police in Victoria say investigators are still trying to get to the bottom of the disappearance of four-year-old Michael Dunahee more than three decades after he disappeared.
Victoria police say today marks the 33rd anniversary of Dunahee going missing from a school playground in the city in 1991.
Police say Dunahee disappeared while his family and many others were nearby during a game of touch football.
Investigators say hundreds of volunteers and police launched an extensive search after the boy went missing, but his disappearance remains a mystery and the investigation is one of the largest missing persons cases in Canadian history.
