Chilliwack Chiefs drop second in a row

CHILLIWACK — Logan Morrell scored twice to lead the Coquitlam Express to a 4 – 1 victory over the Chiefs in Chilliwack Saturday (Dec. 9) night.

Morrell opened the scoring when he tallied his fifth goal of the season at 2:37 of the second period. He ended the scoring as well with an empty net goal late in the third.

Dylan Kinch had the lone goal for the Chiefs, who lost for their second consecutive game after reeling off six wins in a row.

Adam Manji stopped 26 of 27 shots in the Coquitlam net to earn the victory. The Express fired 33 shots at the Chiefs net. Adam McNicholas suffered the loss.
