Car in median slows Hwy. 1 traffic near No. 3 Road, east of Abbotsford

CHILLIWACK — Motorists seem to be distracted by anything in their visual periphery, whether it’s a car crash, an interesting billboard, or even a car in the median.

Drive BC wrote on X/Twitter at 12:54 p.m. Thursday afternoon (Oct. 5) that a car in the grass median on Highway 1, west of No. 3 Road, is presenting what it calls a “visual distraction” for both directions of traffic.

Drive BC provided an image showing a motorist standing outside what appears to be a white sedan with the driver-side door fully ajar.

No lanes are blocked, but traffic is heavily impacted due to the car in the median.
