Hope Fire Dept., RCMP investigating suspicious pickup truck fire near downtown Hope

HOPE — The Hope Fire Department and Upper Fraser Valley RCMP are investigating after a pickup truck caught fire in the early morning hours of Monday, October 2 near downtown Hope.

According to a Facebook post from the Hope Fire Department, Hope firefighters were dispatched for a vehicle fire overnight at approximately 12:30 a.m. Monday. The department received multiple reports of a vehicle on fire near Park Street and 5th Avenue, not far from the District of Hope municipal building.

On arrival, Hope firefighters discovered a pickup truck that was fully engulfed by flames. No injuries were reported.

Hope Fire Department wrote on Facebook that its department and the RCMP are investigating the incident.
