More Latin dance nights coming to heat up Chilliwack this fall

CHILLIWACK — Summer might be ending, but one local dance teacher is looking to keep the fire burning on the dance floor with more salsa lessons in Chilliwack.

Starting Friday, September 11, experienced salsa teacher Paul Preibisch is set to return with a second weekly Latin dance night after unexpectedly high demand for the first round downtown this past month.

“Launch night on July 28th sold out – 82 people came through the door,” said Preibisch, also known as Salsa Paul. “We’d capped the lesson room at 45, so turnout ran almost double what we’d planned for. That’s a real signal for how much appetite there is for salsa and Latin dance in Chilliwack.”

Now, residents are invited down to Spencer Studios every Friday from 7 to 10 p.m. until September 25 for a beginner class and open social dancing with mirrors and a lower group cap of 25 people – which means plenty of space to flare out.
