Over 1,000 seats opening up in Fraser Valley-area schools
FRASER VALLEY — Four schools in the Fraser Valley region are set to welcome more than 1,000 new students soon as major upgrades begin wrapping up.
That list includes 400 seats at Sardis Secondary in Chilliwack and 300 spots at Langley Secondary, as well as 215 new seats at a “seismically upgraded” Eric Langton Elementary and 120 at Golden Ears Elementary in Maple Ridge.
“Across the province this fall, thousands of students will be stepping into brand-new classrooms to support their success,” said Premier David Eby.
“Our kids deserve the best start possible. Instead of closing schools and fighting with teachers, our record is building and upgrading schools, with 250 projects delivered or underway, and smaller class sizes.”
