28-year-old man still missing after more than two months of search: Chilliwack RCMP

CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack RCMP is continuing the search for a 28-year-old Vancouverite who went missing more than two months ago.

Investigators say Taetm Moon was last seen on the evening of May 27 at a store in Surrey in the 10500 block of King George Blvd.

He is also known to frequent the backcountry and wilderness areas in Pemberton and North Shore.

Police are asking Squamish-area hikers, campers, climbers, outdoor recreationists and residents to keep an eye out for him.

“We are asking anyone who may have seen Taetm, particularly in Surrey, Pemberton, or surrounding backcountry areas, to contact police,” said Cpl. Carmen Kiener of the Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment. “Even information that may appear insignificant could help investigators determine his whereabouts.”

Family and friends report that being out of contact for this long is out of character for Moon.

He is described as an Indigenous man standing at 5’11” and 181 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a goatee.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) and quote file number 2026-23744.
