Mission house searched for evidence of drug trafficking after residents contact police: RCMP
MISSION – Mounties in Mission executed a search warrant at a home linked to drug trafficking earlier this month after receiving information from nearby residents and neighbours about suspicious activity at the residence.
In a statement, Mission RCMP spokesperson Corporal Harrison Mohr says residents contacted police after growing suspicious that drugs were being sold out of a residence on 1st Avenue west of Alder Street. As a result of that information, Mission RCMP opened an investigation into the matter. Once sufficient evidence had been gathered, one of Mission RCMP’s general duty officers obtained a search warrant for the house.
Officers from both General Duty and Mission RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit executed the search warrant on April 9, and found evidence consistent with the house being used as a base for drug trafficking. Items located included the following:
