Pedestrian seriously injured in hit-and-run in Abbotsford
ABBOTSFORD — Police in Abbotsford are investigating a hit and run involving a pedestrian at Bevan Avenue and Gladwin Road Friday night (Dec. 16).
In a news release, police say a woman was struck by a vehicle around 7:45 p.m. She was sent to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop. However, the vehicle was found later and the driver was identified and questioned.
AbbyPD officers, with the assistance of the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) are investigating. Roads around the scene were closed for several hours. Police have not released any information on possible charges.
Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or has dashcam video in the area of Bevan Avenue and Gladwin Road around the time of the collision is asked to contact Abbotsford police at 604-859-5225.
