Meadow Rose Society rebounds from small fire earlier this year to thrive and help Chilliwack-area families
CHILLIWACK — It wasn’t that long ago in September that the Meadow Rose Family Help Center Society was left reeling from a fire in the rear building component of its downtown Chilliwack office, causing the centre to briefly close for a day while it dealt with smoke damage.
Three months later, the small non-profit charity that equips families in Chilliwack and Hope with necessary children’s supplies is in a much better place following a recent fundraiser and a mural installation inside its office.
The society reported this past week that it raised $3,020 from its Giving Tuesday fundraiser at the end of November.
“You raised $3,020 for our wee charity!” Meadow Rose wrote on Facebook. “This surpassed our goal! Way to go Chilliwack!”
