Chilliwack RCMP respond to property crime, slight uptick in break-and-enters early November

CHILLIWACK — Police in Chilliwack have tackled a little bit of nearly every property crime in the first half of this month.
From November 2 to November 15, RCMP responded to 26 thefts from vehicles, a total of 12 car and bike thefts and 12 business break-and-enters.
There have also been 10 reported break-and-enters from residential homes, up by one from the typical range of two to nine, according to calculations based on the last six months of data.
Hot spots included the downtown core and Vedder Crossing.
