Patient airlifted after serious accident on Hwy. 1 in the Fraser Canyon Tuesday afternoon
SPUZZUM/FRASER CANYON — One person was airlifted to hospital Tuesday afternoon (Nov. 18) following a reported rollover on Highway 1 in the Fraser Canyon.
According to a statement from B.C. Emergency Health Services spokesperson Brian Twaites, paramedics received a call at 3:23 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 18) about a motor vehicle incident on Hwy. 1 near the Alexandra Tunnel in Spuzzum.
An ambulance with primary care paramedics responded to the scene.
“Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to one patient who was transported by ground ambulance and then by air ambulance to hospital in serious but stable condition,” said Paramedic Public Information Officer Brian Twaites.
