Vehicle strikes utility pole Friday night in Abbotsford

ABBOTSFORD — Abbotsford first responders were called to the Livingstone Avenue area parallel to nearby Highway 1 late Friday night after a vehicle struck a utility pole in Abbotsford.

Firefighters and paramedics were notified about the accident at approximately 11:30 p.m. Friday night.

Pictures taken by a nearby resident show a B.C. EHS ambulance on scene following the motor vehicle accident.

The vehicle that collided with a utility pole wound up taking out four cedars in a nearby yard, leaving debris and glass on the ground.

Roads were slick around the time of the accident due to precipitation Friday afternoon and evening, but the cause of the accident isn’t immediately known.

Fraser Valley Today has reached out to the Abbotsford Police Department for more information on the incident.
