Hamilton Forge downs Supra du Québec 1-0, advances to Canadian championship final

HAMILTON — Hamilton Forge secured a berth in the Telus Canadian Championship final with a 1-0 win over Supra du Québec on Tuesday.
Ben Paton scored for the Forge in the 26th minute. The first match of the two-legged semifinal ended in a 1-1 draw.
Supra mustered 12 shots to Hamilton’s eight, including three on-target shots to the Forge’s two. Hamilton carried a 6-5 edge in corner kicks.
CF Montreal hosts the Vancouver Whitecaps on Wednesday in the second game of their semifinal. The first ended in a 1-1 draw.
