Daughter mourns father’s passing after motorcycle accident in Abbotsford last week
ABBOTSFORD – Police can confirm that a motorcyclist involved in a serious crash last week has sadly died.
In a brief statement, the Abbotsford PD said, “Sadly, we can confirm the motorcyclist has succumbed to his injuries following last week’s collision at George Ferguson Way and Gladys Avenue.”
Police responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV at approximately 3:56 p.m. last Wednesday, Sept. 9. The motorcyclist sustained serious, life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital for medical treatment that day. Personnel from the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) responded to the scene.
A social media post from the motorcyclist’s daughter, Marlo Currie, stated the following: “On September 9 at 3:56 p.m., my dad, Mark Currie, was the motorcyclist involved in the accident that happened that day. After fighting for his life, we sadly lost him on September 12 @ 10:23 pm.”
