AbbyPD aware of video showing woman being confronted for discarding garbage at local park

ABBOTSFORD – Police in Abbotsford say they’re aware of a video circulating on social media depicting a woman being recorded and confronted for dumping garbage into a waterway and a local park.

In a statement, AbbyPD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker says police are currently looking into these incidents and have reached out to individuals who posted the videos online as it tries to gain additional information.

Sgt. Walker says the two incidents are believed to have occurred in late July at Mill Lake Park and, more recently, near Bluejay Elementary School.

“Incidents of this nature are unacceptable and can have a significant impact on our parks, waterways, and community spaces,” Sgt. Walker said.
