Kane’s parents have also been informed that his treatment plan will consist of both radiation and chemotherapy.

Kloot, Kane’s aunt, says so many people have inquired about how they can help support the family, which is partly why she started a GoFundMe.

“With treatment comes time away from work, travel to and from the children’s hospital, meals on the go, separation from Kane’s siblings, along with so many unexpected expenses that come when normal life suddenly gets put on hold,” Kloot said. “So many people have already asked, ‘How can we help?’ This is one tangible way.”

The family, their loved ones and their close friends are holding steadfast to their faith that all things are possible for those who believe.

“Above everything, we are holding tightly to our faith and trusting that God is sovereign, even here. We are praying boldly for healing, strength for Kane, wisdom for his medical team, and peace for his family in the days ahead,” Kloot said. “Kane has a whole army standing behind him.”

Kloot concluded her appeal by expressing gratitude to those who have come alongside Tamara, Luke, Bayleigh, Scottie and Kane, by praying for them and supporting them through a scenario they could have never imagined.
