CHILLIWACK – The Fraser Valley Regional Library system says one of the primary libraries in Chilliwack will be closed for over a month starting today.

In a social media post, the FVRL says the Chilliwack Library will be temporarily closed for renovations starting today, Monday, August 10, until Monday, September 14.

In the interim period, the FVRL says it will host a “pop-up” library at Evergreen Hall, located at 9291 Corbould Street, in Chilliwack.

The pop-up library will operate from Tuesday, August 11 to Sunday, September 13.

At the pop-up, you can:

  • Browse and borrow from a small collection of popular titles, including Grab & Go
  • Pick up your holds
  • Return items

Pop-up library hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

If you’re looking for full library services, the FVRL encourages patrons to visit the libraries in Sardis and Yarrow.

“Thank you for your patience while we make improvements to the Chilliwack Library!” the FVRL wrote online.
