Chilliwack farm to hold free end-of-summer event

CHILLIWACK – A Chilliwack farm will hold a family event later this month featuring free food and free activities.

Sparkes Farmgate Chilliwack, located at 46265 Prairie Central Road near Luckakuck Way, will celebrate the end of summer with its first ever End of Summer event on Saturday, August 29 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event features free hot dogs and free roasted corn, plus activities galore for the whole family.

The free activities consist of a dunk tank, bouncy castle, face painting, airbrush tattoos, henna, lawn games, potato sack races, a colouring contest, photo booth and more.

Its Farmgate store will be open throughout the event with one-day-only specials, a chance to win a $100 Sparkes gift card, ice cream for sale, and the Sparkes lemonade stand.

As mentioned, admission is free and the event is family-friendly. Everyone is welcome to attend.
