Rotary Club launches new 50/50 raffle in Chilliwack
CHILLIWACK — The local Rotary Club is looking to support the community with a new 50/50 raffle in Chilliwack.
Local Club President Jared Mumford says half of all proceeds will go towards the winner, with the Rotary putting the other half into scholarships, environmental projects and food security programs.
“We’re excited to launch this new opportunity in Chilliwack,” said Jerry Zdril, chair of the raffle committee. “It gives someone in the community a chance to win big, and helps support the work of the club at the same time.”
The initiative was launched with help from the Langley Rotary, which raises over $100,000 per year through a similar draw in their community.
