Lytton wildfire grows 100 more hectares, activity may increase throughout the day: BCWS
LYTTON — While cooler weather and light winds helped minimize the Saw Creek fires overnight, the BC Wildfire Service says there’s potential for things to ramp up again today (June 21).
Crews continue to tackle the now 704-hectare Lytton wildfire, working along the north and south flanks to slow its spread where safe to do so.
BCWS says the fire is currently burning between Ranks 1 and 3, and with lower humidity and temperatures expected to rise to the low thirties, activity may increase throughout the day.
Light northeast winds are also expected today.
