ABBOTSFORD – Police in Abbotsford say a suspect in two business break and enters that happened in May 2026 has been arrested and formally charged.

Abbotsford PD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker says AbbyPD patrol officers responded to an overnight break and enter on Tuesday, May 19, at a business in the 2200 block of Townline Road. Just a week later on Tuesday, May 26, patrol officers attended an overnight break and enter in the 31100 block of Peardonville Road.

For context, the AbbyPD has responded to 72 business break and enters during the first five months of 2026.

Detectives from AbbyPD’s Crime Reduction Unit took over the investigation into both incidents and identified similarities, leading them to ID and arrest a suspect.

On Wednesday, May 27, 38-year-old Devon Reeve was formally charged with two counts of break and enter in relation to these incidents.

“AbbyPD’s Crime Reduction Unit plays a key role in identifying repeat offenders, enforcing court-ordered conditions, and disrupting criminal activity,” Sgt. Paul Walker said. “Their proactive work remains critical to reducing property crime and enhancing safety throughout Abbotsford.”
