Man charged after alleged child sexual abuse investigation in Surrey
SURREY — Four charges have now been approved in an internet child exploitation investigation in Surrey, says police.
The Surrey Police Service first launched an investigation in January 2025 into a suspect possessing and sharing child sexual abuse material online, leading to a search warrant at a home in South Surrey in June that year.
The warrant yielded evidence related to the investigation and had since been seized.
On Wednesday (May 27), 41-year-old Mark Reade was charged with possession and distribution of child sexual abuse and exploitation materials, unsafe gun storage and unauthorized possession of a prohibited device.
