ABBOTSFORD — A local man has gone in and out of custody over the past few months after multiple property offences in Abbotsford.

In November 2025, the Abbotsford Police Department found and arrested 35-year-old Jaskaran Singh after responding to a residential break-and-enter in progress in the 32500 block of Peardonville Road.

Singh was released into another Lower Mainland community in March this year under several court orders, including 24/7 house arrest.

AbbyPD patrol officers responded to another home break-in within the 32600 block of Bevan Avenue on April 7, and Singh was “quickly identified” as the suspect.

The Crime Reduction Unit took charge of the investigation and found him in the Abbotsford area in violation of his release conditions.

He was arrested on April 16 and now faces charges of break-and-enter, possession of break-in instruments and five counts of breaching a release order.

Singh remains in custody.

“AbbyPD’s Crime Reduction Unit continues to play a critical role in identifying repeat offenders, enforcing court-ordered conditions, and disrupting ongoing criminal activity,” said Sgt. Paul Walker with the AbbyPD.

“Their proactive approach and coordinated efforts remain essential to reducing property crime and enhancing community safety across Abbotsford.”
