Chilliwack Metropolitan Orchestra to hold gala fundraiser with dinner, dance and auction next month

CHILLIWACK – The Chilliwack Metropolitan Orchestra is hosting a fundraiser gala dinner dance, A Night in Vienna, with a live auction next month in Chilliwack.

The festivities happen Saturday, May 23 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Cheam Ballroom at Evergreen Hall, located at 9291 Corbould Street.

There will be a wonderful Viennese-themed buffet by Fresh Impressions Catering, all while a 50-piece CMO orchestra performs music for waltzing and polkas. CMO will also hold a live auction with an on-site auctioneer to help raise funds for its special programming plans  in 2027.

The evening offers supporters and attendees a chance to get dressed up and enjoy a wonderful evening of great food and dancing to a live orchestra and at the same time supporting live music in the Chilliwack community.

The CMO is a non-profit, volunteer community orchestra composed of music teachers, serious youth performers and dedicated amateur musicians. They perform four concerts per year usually in the HUB International Theatre at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre. The orchestra plans a mix of programming including classical music, rock tribute and musicals.

Tickets for the fundraising gala dinner and dance are are only on sale through the Chilliwack Cultural Centre Box Office, through 604-391-SHOW or www,chilliwackculturalcentre.ca. Tickets are only available through the CCC  box office and must purchased before the cutoff date of Saturday, May 16. Tickets are $125/plate.
