ABBOTSFORD – Police in Abbotsford have executed a search warrant at a home just west of Abbotsford Regional Hospital as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking.

According to a statement from Abbotsford PD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker, officers from patrol shift No. 4 carried out a search warrant at a home in the 32700 block of Avalon Crescent Tuesday afternoon in connection to a drug trafficking probe.

Sgt. Walker says the investigation remains active, but no further details can be released at this time.

“While patrol officers regularly respond to calls for service, a key part of their daily work is proactive policing,” Sgt. Walker said. “This includes identifying crime hot spots, addressing problem properties, and taking enforcement action to disrupt criminal activity before it escalates. These efforts are guided by intelligence, community concerns, and observed trends, and are essential to maintaining safety and quality of life in our neighbourhoods.”
