1 pedestrian dead after being struck by train in Langley Thursday evening

LANGLEY — Langley RCMP are now investigating a fatal train collision that happened on Thursday evening (Jan. 8).

At around 7:55 p.m., police responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a train near 206 Street and 98 Avenue.

Officers and first responders from BC Ambulance Service and the Township of Langley Fire Department attended the scene and found the patient involved in the crash.

“Tragically the individual succumbed to their injuries at the scene,” said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP.
