Chilliwack councillors to vote on proposed amusement centre containing bowling alley, bar and more
CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack councillors are set to vote this week on a temporary use permit for a proposed amusement centre that would house a bowling alley, arcade, restaurant, bar and other amenities.
According to agenda item 11.3.1 on this Tuesday’s council agenda, Taranjit Pabla has submitted an application to the City of Chilliwack to operate an amusement centre in units 101 and 102 at 44981 Commercial Court in Chilliwack.
Because the property is zoned CD-2 (Comprehensive Development), a temporary use permit needs to be approved by Chilliwack City Council.
City planner Sean Roufosse wrote in his staff report that the applicant wants to operate an amusement centre offering virtual reality stations, axe throwing, pool tables, ping pong, roughly 80 arcade games, a bowling alley, a snack bar on the first floor and a restaurant with a bar on the mezzanine.
