There is also an in-person event where residents can drop off their unwanted or old garbage, recycling and compost bins tomorrow, Saturday, June 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the north parking lot of the Chilliwack Coliseum, 45323 Hodgins Road (access off Ashwell Road).

Mayor Ken Popove said Thursday on 89.5 JR Country that despite a less than stellar rollout in early May, E360S is getting better.

“It was less than spectacular, the rollout. It’s working well,” Popove said. “I think they’ve got it down pat. The company had to make some adjustments, with equipment, bring in more equipment, bring in more manpower. How I gauge this is, less emails coming to me than what was happening before.”

Chilliwack residents will be receiving a one-time 50 per cent rebate on their next utility bill due to the curbside collection’s deficient rollout in May.
