SURREY — Police are investigating after shots have been fired at a Surrey home early Thursday morning (Nov. 27).

At around 3:05 a.m., RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) responded to calls of a possible shooting in the 11200 block of 153A Street and found a home damaged by gunshots.

No one was hurt as a result of the incident.

RCMP-SPOSU’s General Investigation Unit has since taken charge of the investigation.

“The investigation is in its early stages and investigators will be continuing to gather evidence related to the shots fired, including liaising with police partners to determine if there are any links to other files,” said the Surrey Police Service. “Currently, it does not appear that the incident is linked to the ongoing series of extortions.”

Anyone with information, including suspect identities, or who has CCTV or dashcam footage, is asked to contact the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 25-65067 (SU).
