Two trucks collide, closing Highway 1 near Lytton: B.C. RCMP

LYTTON — A spokesperson for the B.C. RCMP says a serious motor vehicle incident involving two trucks northeast of Lytton has closed Highway 1.

According to a statement from B.C. RCMP spokesperson Corporal Brett Urano, Lillooet RCMP members responded at 8:56 a.m. Monday morning (Nov. 24) for a crash about 14 kms northeast of Lytton.

Cpl. Urano says two trucks collided on the highway, and the highway will be closed until further notice to enable the investigation to proceed and to allow first responders to render aid.

The occupants of the trucks have suffered serious injuries and officers are working diligently to determine the cause of the incident.
