Outdoor film set in Langley opening to public for annual holiday event

LANGLEY — The streets of Martini Town are gearing up this weekend to transform into a festive wonderland for the holiday season.

From Friday, November 21, to December 31, the Langley-based outdoor film set will be opening its Hollywood-style backlot to the public for the annual “Merry & Bright”.

“Opening our backlot to the public allows those who cherish the holidays to step right onto their own film set, creating and capturing Christmas movie-quality memories,” said Gemma Martini, CEO of Martini Film Studios.

“Only once a year, we invite guests to explore an imaginary town centre designed, built and decorated by BC’s talented film crews. We’re so proud to share a bit of movie-style magic and holiday cheer with our community.”

Visitors can walk through window displays and a flurry of “film-style” fake snow under a large, clear-roofed tent over the Town Square, as well as shop at stalls from local artisans and businesses, or dine at a sheltered area with tables and chairs from returning food trucks.

Martini Town is a popular filming backlot set that features a small-town street, including its own movie theatre, coffee shop, courthouse, and more.

Tickets and information are available online through the event website.
