Charity cycling event raises nearly six figures for new Chilliwack outreach program at Ruth and Naomi’s

CHILLIWACK — Abbotsford-based Diverse Properties says the 2023 Ride for RAN (Ruth and Naomi’s) cycling event in September raised nearly six figures for a new outreach program for the housing and social services entity in Chilliwack.

According to a Facebook post from Diverse, over $90,000 was raised at this year’s Ride for RAN event, hosted by Ruth and Naomi’s Mission Family Centre, thanks to an assortment of generous donors.

Diverse wrote in its Facebook post in late September that these funds will assist the launch of a new outreach program at Ruth and Naomi’s that will allow it to assemble a team to venture beyond the borders of downtown Chilliwack and reach those living on the margins of society, and care for those struggling with addiction.

Diverse reports that it has been a proud title sponsor of the event and is honoured to support the stellar work of Ruth and Naomi’s in Chilliwack.
