Patient in stable condition after rollover on Highway 1 Wednesday: BC EHS
CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack Fire, Popkum Fire RCMP and BC Ambulance Service were dispatched for the report of a rollover on Highway 1 east of Annis Road near the “S-curve” Wednesday morning at about 7:45 a.m.
First responders, including two engines from Chilliwack Fire, three BC Ambulance vehicles, RCMP and Popkum Fire, converged on the westbound shoulder of Highway 1; yellow tape was set up to indicate that a vehicle may have rolled over and onto the hilly terrain just off the freeway.
A landing zone for a BC Ambulance Service helicopter was initially called for Unity Christian, before being canceled at about 8:30 a.m.
BC Emergency Health Services advised in an email Wednesday that paramedics received a call at 7:43 a.m. Wednesday for a motor vehicle incident east of Annis Road on Highway 1.
