Body discovered along Hwy. 3 near Hope

HOPE — Mounties in Hope are putting out a public appeal for any information from the public after a deceased man was found along Highway 3 over the weekend.

RCMP were reportedly on scene on Sunday afternoon, September 17 after a man’s body was discovered in a creek bed along Highway 3 near the Two Mile Creek bridge.

Police are investigating the incident that happened near Hope and consider it suspicious. They’re asking for anyone with information about this incident to contact the Hope RCMP detachment at 604-869-7750, or through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

The discovery of the body appears to be linked to a traffic advisory posted by Drive BC on Sunday in which the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure advised motorists that a police incident on Highway 3 westbound had closed both lanes. The highway reopened at 9:15 a.m. on Monday morning, Sept. 18, according to Drive BC.
