Three in hospital including one suspect, after a stabbing attack Saturday in Abbotsford

ABBOTSFORD — Three people were sent to hospital following a series of stabbings in Abbotsford Saturday (Spt. 16) evening.

According to a news release from Abbotsford police, officers were called to a residence in the 1900 block of McCallum Road at 6:49 p.m. When they arrived, they found two people suffering from stab wounds.

With assistance from members of the Abbotsford Fire Department and paramedics, the two victims were stabilized and taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Soon after, officers were able to locate and arrest a suspect. Police say the suspect was taken into custody and taken to hospital with what appeared to be self-inflicted wounds.
