No Tsunami
No damage reported from earthquakes early Sunday off Vancouver Island

CHILLIWACK — There are no reports of any damages after British Columbia was hit by two earthquakes Sunday (Sept. 17).
Earthquakes Canada says a 5.5 magnitude quake was registered early this morning at 4:28 a.m. after a 4.2 magnitude quake about an hour and a half earlier at 2:59 a.m. near the same location.
The epicentre was 206 kilometres west of Port Hardy, north of Vancouver Island.
No tsunami warnings were issued as a result of the earthquakes.
