Cyclist injured in downtown Chilliwack collision Monday, transported via air ambulance
CHILLIWACK — A cyclist was injured and required paramedic assistance, including an air ambulance, after a collision Monday evening (Sept. 11) at the busy intersection of Young and First Avenue near downtown Chilliwack.
According to information provided by AJ Pirhonen of 89.5 JR Country, a cyclist was reportedly hit at approximately 6 p.m. at Young and First. Pirhonen says the cyclist looked responsive from where she was standing.
The cyclist, a male, had a bandage on his head. Paramedics and first responders were paying particular attention to his legs, Pirhonen says.
According to Pirhonen, police took the bicycle from the scene of the collision.
