HOPE — At least two fire engines from the Hope Fire Department worked to extinguish a highway fire near exit 173, southeast of downtown Hope, Wednesday night.
Hope Fire Department says it dispatched crews Wednesday evening sometime after 6 p.m. for the report of a fire and a motor vehicle incident.
The motor vehicle incident and fire brought highway speeds in the westbound Highway 3/5 lane down to 70 kilometres.
Hope Fire says the fire was extinguished.
