Mission Institution ends lockdown, seizes unknown white powder and blue pills
MISSION — A lockdown implemented at Mission Institution earlier this month has ended, leading correctional staff to seize and recover unauthorized contraband.
The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) reported yesterday (Nov. 17) that the lockdown instituted on November 3 has ended, followed by an exceptional search that wrapped up on Friday, Nov. 11.
The exceptional search resulted in a number of unauthorized items seized, including unknown white powder, a drone, and six unidentified blue pills.
Visits to Mission Institution have resumed following the lockdown and exceptional search.
