Traffic slow through Vedder Road in Chilliwack Thursday morning after T-bone accident

CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack first responders were dispatched to Vedder Road in Sardis Thursday morning after a car T-boned another vehicle at an intersection.

According to scanner traffic, Chilliwack Fire, B.C. EHS paramedics and Chilliwack RCMP were notified about a motor vehicle incident at Vedder Road and Spruce Drive.

A Chilliwack firefighter radioed dispatch to say there were two vehicles involved, and said two people requested to be checked out by paramedics.

Traffic is heavily backed up on Vedder Road due to the accident.

One ambulance has cleared while another remains on scene as of 11:15 a.m.

Google Maps continues to show red (traffic) at the intersection as of 11:44 a.m.

Chilliwack Fire Department Engines 1 and 4 are clear as of 11:45 a.m.

As of 11:45 a.m., firefighters said the patients are being checked out by B.C. EHS paramedics. The scene has been left in care of RCMP.
