Ridge Meadows SAR rescue two stranded at Alouette Lake early Friday morning

MAPLE RIDGE — The Ridge Meadows Search and Rescue team has helped two people stranded on a jet ski early Friday (June 26).

Crews were paged out just before 2 a.m. to rescue the individuals at the north end of Alouette Lake after their watercraft broke down.

Parents and RCMP previously tried to reach them by boat, but SAR said the darkness made the party too difficult to locate.

RMSAR found the stranded individuals between 2:30 and 3 a.m. and returned them to the boat ramp.
