CHILLIWACK — It’s that time of year again when the air gets cooler, leaves fall from the trees – and the Chilliwack/Vedder River Cleanup Society (CVRCS) hosts this season’s Adopt-A-River campaign at Thompson Regional Park.

This year, the City of Chilliwack has partnered with CVRCS to celebrate BC Rivers Day with the biannual campaign on Sunday, September 28.

“Under the City’s Adopt a River program, community groups adopt sections of the Vedder River or Canal and are responsible for providing litter/garbage collection services twice per year,” said the City.

The City provides gloves, garbage or recycling bags and collection services for bulky or large items.
