‘N’ driver sanctioned after going nearly three times the speed limit in Langley

LANGLEY — Langley RCMP has put a speed demon in time-out with a couple other infractions this week.

On Wednesday (Sep. 17), officers spotted a white Toyota pickup truck driving at 135 km/h in a 50 km/h zone on 248 Street.

When police caught up, the driver was also found to have no insurance and no “N” sign.

The driver was served tickets for those offences, and the truck was impounded for seven days due to excessive speed.

Speeding has been a continued focus for traffic enforcement in Langley this year. From December 2024 to January 2025, Mounties handed out a total of 120 speeding tickets within both the Township and City of Langley.
