McKee public park feedback sought in Abbotsford
ABBOTSFORD — Residents have their chance to comment on the development of a new neighbourhood park in the McKee area.
The City of Abbotsford says the park will be located near the intersection of Dawson Road and Sumas Mountain Road. It’s expected to include a large forested area and a smaller cleared area that will house park amenities and programming.
The public meeting is set for May 26 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 36676 Dianne Brook Ave. Residents can attend to receive more information about the park while providing feedback to planners. Feedback can also be provided through an online survey. It will be available until June 1 on the city website.
City staff expects to take information and ideas from this round of public input and develop a preliminary park design. That will then be placed in front of the public for comments. It’s expected that a detailed design will be completed early next year, with construction to begin shortly after.
