Drug trafficker eludes authorities

Authorities unable to locate drug trafficker believed to be in Chilliwack

CHILLIWACK — Authorities continue to seek the whereabouts of a drug trafficker who has been featured several times in the Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers weekly bulletin and is believed to be in the Chilliwack area.

The Abbotsford Police Department posted on social media Sunday that it needs the public’s help to locate 42-year-old Scott Tonks, who it says is wanted on multiple outstanding warrants for charges of theft, breach of probation, and drug trafficking.

“Mr. Tonks is believed to be in the Chilliwack area. If you have any information regarding his whereabouts, please contact the police immediately,” AbbyPD wrote online.

Tonks is described as 5’9″ tall, weighing 194 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

According to a Crime Stoppers bulletin from April 2025, Tonks was wanted around that time for trafficking in controlled substance x2, and possession of a controlled drug/substance for trafficking x2. His warrant went into effect on April 1, 2025. His parole jurisdiction is Chilliwack.

Chilliwack RCMP have not issued any kind of statement or news release about Tonks, even though he is believed to be in Chilliwack.
