Amy Winehouse tribute artist to perform in Chilliwack

CHILLIWACK — A Canadian artist is paying homage to the late Amy Winehouse as fans and colleagues honour what would have been her 42nd birthday today (Sep. 14).

On September 28, tribute artist Heidi Munro will perform “Back to Black: The Passion of Amy Winehouse” at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre.

Munro started the show in February 2019 as a self-produced project and has since grown to perform in sold-out venues with a nine-piece band hailing from both B.C. and Saskatchewan.

“Munro’s portrayal has been lauded for its authenticity, depth and at the same time being a fresh, timeless and inviting interpretation,” wrote the Centre.

Doors are set to open 7:30 p.m. at the HUB International Theatre. Tickets and information are available online through the Cultural Centre’s website.
