46-year-old man suffers serious stab wounds in targeted attack Thursday: Langley RCMP

LANGLEY — Mounties in Langley say a 46-year-old man has been hospitalized with serious wounds after being stabbed Thursday afternoon.

Langley RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Zynal Sharoom says police received a report of a disturbance in the 6400 block of 199 Street at about 4:05 p.m. Thursday.

Langley RCMP members immediately responded to the area and located a 46-year-old man suffering from a serious stab wound. The victim was immediately transported to a local area hospital for further assessment.

“Out of an abundance of caution the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team has deployed to assist the Langley RCMP with this investigation,” said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP. “Police believe this to be a targeted attack with no on-going risk to the general public.”
